The 2021/2022 I.T. Girl Challenge is a competition organised by CGI that has a goal for high school girls to code and develop an app to solve a world problem. The program used to develop that goal is Thunkable. At the day of the challenge(February 15 2022), each group of girls will present their apps to a panel fo judges. The app presented as the most innovative, applicable and creative mobile app design will receive college scholarship funds.

The "UI components" part is where is going to show up all of the components you put into your screen. It allows you to code those certains features individually. The "Core" part is where the sections of the blocks are divided. The blocks are separated by color and functionality, which makes the visualisation a easier,, as well as the coding itself. There are many options that make your app creation possible. Now, the "App Features" part is where some more things are. They do not need a component in the Designing page to be coded. Instead, they can be added to them to make it more complete. Overall, Thunkable is a great tool to learn the basics of coding (since it uses the block opption). It is great because is pretty visible and self explanatory, even tho you can learn a lot from it. |
